Four days of heavy rain and landslide threat
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in many districts of Uttarakhand for the next four days. Director of Dehradun Meteorological Center, Vikram Singh said that strong rains have been issued in Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Pauri, Champawat and Pithoragarh districts. Parts of Nainital also have an orange alert of heavy rains. The Meteorological Department has advised those going on Chardham Yatra to be vigilant. There is a danger of heavy rains and landslides. This time the monsoon had reached the state before normal on June 21 and now it is raining in the whole of Uttarakhand. Meteorologists say that this time the rain can be 10 to 15 percent more.
Himachal floods due to heavy rains
Himachal Pradesh has also flooded due to heavy rains. Many people are stranded in the sudden floods in Kangra district. The bodies of six people have been found so far. Three people are missing due to cloudburst in Rehla Buil in Kullu district, their discovery is going on. The Meteorological Department has said that in the next 24 hours, 14 states including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand may receive heavy rains.
