Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra has begun in Puri, Odisha. Today is the second day of the 12 -day Rath Yatra. Today, chariots will be drawn to take Lord Jagannath to aunt’s house. This grand journey starts from the Jagannath temple of Puri and goes to Gundicha temple. Devotees have gathered in the Jagannath Rath Yatra. Devotees from all over the country are reaching Puri these days. Devotees are excited about the 12 -day Rath Yatra. Devotees are very excited since morning in Puri, Odisha, about the chariot journey of Lord Jagannath. Devotees have started gathering at the Rath Yatra site since morning to become a part of this journey and see it. A group of devotees from Kyrgyzstan attended the chariot journey of Lord Jagannath in Puri, Odisha. The drivers of the chariots of Lord Jagannath, Goddess Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra included Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhapati and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The procession passed through the huge roads of the temple city. Millions of people flocked into the city coastal temple to see the moments of grand procession and participate in the celebration.

The first chariot of Lord Balabhadra, at four in the evening between Jai Jagannath and Hari Bol’s cheers, cymbals, trumpets and Shankhanad, moved forward. After this, Goddess Subhadra’s Darpadalan chariot and finally the Nandighosh chariot of Lord Jagannath moved forward. Three chariots were decorated with wooden horses of different colors. While the devotees pulled the chariot, the priests welcomed the gods on the chariots.

The world famous Rath Yatra began in Puri, Odisha on Friday after seating Lord Shri Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra on a chariot. Today, on the second day of the yatra, Lord Jagannath’s chariot will be pulled again to Gundicha Temple, about 2.6 km from the 12th century Shrimandir. This temple is considered to be the home of God’s aunt. Mr. Jagannath will stay here for nine days. Will return to the main temple on 5 July.
Earlier, at the beginning of the yatra, devotees draw the three chariots between Jai Jagannath and the cheers of Haribol. However, it was stopped in the middle, as chariots are not drawn after sunset. About 625 devotees were injured due to the competition among devotees to draw Balabhadra’s chariot. Some people were also taken to the hospital on the complaint of suffocating.
