New Delhi, 28 June (IANS). The government is committed to create a safe and smart energy future through initiatives such as Rooftop Solar, EV charging infrastructure, battery storage and digital fault detection. This statement was made by Shripad Yeso Naik, Minister of State at the Ministry of Power and New and Renewable Energy.
On Saturday, the Union Minister said that ‘Electricity Safety Day’ is a powerful reminder for us as we are moving towards an ecosystem with a clean, smart and more digital energy, security should remain at the core of every progress.
He said, “Electricity strengthens every aspect of modern life from homes and hospitals to industries and mobility, but it should be handled very carefully.”
At an event organized by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) in collaboration with BSES, Naik said, “Security is a common responsibility and” I urge every citizen, technician and stakeholder to be alert and responsible. Together, we create not only a smart India, but a safe India. ”
Pankaj Aggarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Electricity, said, “Security in the power sector should be a main aspect, not only a checklist.”
He said, “As we move towards smart, clean energy systems, accountability and vigilance become paramount. I believe that promoting an active security culture is very important to promote an active security culture.
CEA President Ghanshyam Prasad said, “Electrical safety is not just a mandatory, it is a mentality. In this era of distributed and smart energy systems, we should ensure that safety stays at the center of every innovation and every connection. Handle the power carefully and be aware.”
This year’s ‘Electricity Safety Day’ marked a significant cooperation among policy makers, utilities and public, which strengthened the foundation of ‘smart energy, safe nation’.
