New Delhi. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that I will be the Chief Minister of the state for five years, why there is doubt. Siddaramaiah’s statement has come at a time when the demand for removing him from the post of CM and making DK Shivkumar the Chief Minister has been arising in the Congress for the last few days. However, senior party leader Randeep Surjewala took a press conference with Deputy CM DK Shivkumar yesterday and made it clear that the Chief Minister in Karnataka would not be changed. After this, this dispute is being considered as a result for the moment. Now the CM himself has responded to his opponents by making this statement.
Congress MLA Iqbal Hussain, a supporter of DK Shivkumar, claimed that he had the support of 100 party MLAs who want Siddaramaiah to be removed from the Chief Minister’s chair and made Shivkumar the CM. Earlier, he had claimed that in two-three months, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah could be removed and Deputy CM DK Shivkumar can be made the new Chief Minister of Karnataka. After this entire controversy, the Congress high command had to send Randeep Surjewala to Karnataka. He went there and held a meeting with DK Shivkumar. After this meeting, DK Shivkumar said that his focus is on the assembly elections to be held in 2028.
Along with this, a show cause notice was issued to MLA Iqbal Hussain yesterday. The Congress MLA has been asked to give his reply within a week. At the same time, Deputy CM DK Shivkumar had said that no one should give public statements on it. Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge had also advised Congress leaders to avoid rhetoric without talking earlier.
