New Delhi, July 2 (IANS) The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said on Wednesday that initiatives like Nutrition Tracker and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) have brought major changes in the welfare of women and children in the country.
In a post shared on social media platform ‘X’, the PMO said that these schemes are making effective changes across the country in real time.
The PMO said this while sharing a media article, which describes how the government has taken advantage of technology to bring changes in the welfare of women and children.
The PMO said on X, “The article of Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi talks about initiatives such as nutrition tracker, a dedicated grievance redressal module and direct benefit transfer, which are bringing impressive changes in real time across the country.”
Union Minister Annapurna Devi on X said, “From nutrition and education to justice and respect to true empowerment, technology is playing an important role in transformational changes in women and child welfare.”
In the article, the Union Minister said that the Ministry of Women and Child Development has included technology in its programs to ensure that the benefits reach the last miles rapidly.
A prominent example of this is the nutrition tracker initiative of the ministry and its purpose is to carry forward the national view of healthy India, well -known India.
Under this initiative, Anganwadi centers serve as digitally strong community centers to bridge urban-rural division.
Awarded with the Prime Minister Award for Excellence in Public Administration (2025), it also offers Anganwadi workers a digital training module for childhood education.
The Union Minister further wrote, “Nutrition tracker is changing nutrition monitoring with real-time dashboard, geo-tagged Anganwadi centers and face identity for tech home ration distribution and ensuring transparency and efficiency across India.”
In addition, under the competent Anganwadi initiative, 14 lakh Anganwadi centers across the country have been integrated with nutrition trackers.
The Union Minister said that more than 10.14 crore beneficiaries, including pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, children under six years and adolescent girls, are now registered on nutrition trackers, ensuring delivery to the end.
