The Kolkata Law College rape case is under investigation, while Manjun Mishra’s lawyer Raju Ganguly gave a new twist to the matter on Wednesday. He claimed that there was no scratch mark on the body of the accused Manjoan other than “Love Bite”. Ganguly said that when he asked Manjasna what happened on June 27, he replied that “everyone is making him a villain”. Ganguly said that Mishra had ‘love bite’ marks on his body. He said that the accused took off his shirt to show that there was no scratch mark on his body.
Mishra showed me a love byte-seakyk on the neck, the lawyer showed a mark, about which Mishra said that he is a “love byte”. “I told him that he had many nail scratch marks on his body. He took off his shirt, I showed him a mark (neck mark) and asked him what it is. He told me that it’s a ‘love byte’.” When Ganguly asked the accused how he had a love bite, the police took him. I did not see any marks of nail scratches on it. I have seen a mark on the neck.
The victim’s phone should also be seized
Manjn’s lawyer said, “I said that the victim’s phone should also be confiscated, forensic should be sent and the call records should be presented before the court. After seeing the records I think it may not be a rape case.” The lawyer of the accused insisted that he had not reached any conclusion yet. Then he said, “I will be able to tell you by 20 July whether it is rape or not.”
