At least 30 terrorists were killed while trying to infiltrate Afghanistan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Northwest Pakistan.
The ISPR said that security forces successfully thwarted infiltration attempts from across the Afghan border in the Hasan sports area of North Waziristan district on Tuesday and Wednesday night.
The statement said that in an accurate and timely action, 30 terrorists attempting to enter Pakistan were killed when security forces retaliated on the activities of a large group of terrorists.
It said that large quantities of weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered from them.
The ISPR described this operation as evidence of the vigilance of Pakistan’s intelligence system and the professionalism of its soldiers.
“This success highlights the effectiveness of our cautious intelligence network and the operational excellence of our forces,” the statement said.
It said that Afghanistan should take responsibility to prevent its land from being used by “foreign agents” for terrorist activities against Pakistan.
