The death toll has increased to 39 after the death of a person in the explosion at Sigachi Industries’s pharma plant in Sangreddy district of Telangana.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Paritosh Pankaj told PTI-language on Friday that the deceased in the accident was severely burnt.
Till Friday morning, 22 people were undergoing treatment in the hospital.
The official release released on Thursday told that 143 people were working in the plant at the time of the accident and 61 of them are safe. It was told that 12 employees have been discharged from the hospital, while nine people are still missing.
The release said that the process of identification of 31 workers killed in this tragedy has been completed.
A committee of specialists appointed by the state government visited the spot on Thursday to find out the cause of the explosion and establish the order of developments.
