Amit shah visit gujarat: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel laid the ground worship and foundation stone of Tribhuvan Cooperative University on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The event was held in Anand district of Gujarat, in which a large number of people attended. Tribhuvan Cooperative University is being formed with the aim of giving higher education and training to youth belonging to cooperative sector. It will be the first university in the country, which will especially focus on the cooperative sector.
Sardar Patel’s important role in uniting the country
In the Bhumi Pujan program, Amit Shah emphasized the role of Sardar Patel in uniting the country. He said that Sardar Patel not only united the country, but also strengthened the cooperative movement. In such a situation, laying the foundation of this university on his birth anniversary is a very important step.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said on this occasion that this university will give new direction to the cooperative movement of Gujarat and the entire country and will provide better employment opportunities to the youth. He informed that this university will not only be the center of education, but will also be a platform for research and innovation for cooperative institutions. The government believes that this university will revolutionize the field of cooperatives in future and will help in making the country self -sufficient.
Under the National Education Policy 2020, the educational structure of this university will include a variety of flexible and multi-related programs, such as PhD, degree at the managerial level, diploma at supervisory level and certificate at operational level. In addition to its main campus, the university will open subject-specific schools in other states and create a national network to standardize the quality of cooperative education and training. Amit Shah will soon participate in several important programs to strengthen India’s cooperative movement.
More than 200 cooperative institutions will join the next four years
The purpose of this university is to add more than 200 existing cooperative institutions over the next four years. In addition, the university will form a strong teacher Aadhaar through PhD programs based on cooperative studies, which can meet the skill development and capacity building requirements of about 40 lakh cooperative personnel and 80 lakh board members in India.
Cooperative education is still limited to some states
Currently, cooperative education is limited to only a few states and is spread in many different institutions, which is not enough to meet the growing demand in the region. Currently, there is no specific institutional mechanism for cooperative societies in India, especially in rural areas, innovation and development on cheap technologies. Keeping this in mind, a dedicated Research and Development Council (R&D) will be created at the university, which will conduct research in the cooperative sector and promote it in other institutions. In addition, this university, along with national and international prestigious institutions, will implement the world’s best practices in India.
