Not tolerated in achieving the goals of revenue growth-Chief Minister Mr. Bhajan Lal Sharma
Jaipur. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has instructed to ensure the achievement of revenue goals by properly exploiting the mineral wealth. He said that action should be taken strictly as per rules in the cases of royalty recovery. Also, illegal mining activities should be effectively prevented by ensuring compliance with mining acts and rules.
Sharma was addressing a review meeting of the Mining Department at the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday. He said that mineral wealth is available in abundance in the state and there are immense possibilities of mining here. He directed the Mining Department to accelerate the search for new mining areas and give further speed to the auction process. At the same time, Mr. Sharma said that mining work should be started soon in the auctioned blocks so that timely fulfillment can be ensured according to the demand of consumers.
Essential improvement to bring in conservative process
The Chief Minister said that mining has an important role in the revenue of the state. In such a situation, the mining department should ensure timely revenue goals fixed. This work will not be tolerated at any level. He directed to improve the Priti process and make it coherent as required.
Apply effective prevention on illegal mining with new techniques
Sharma said that by incorporating new information technology technologies, the department should prevent effective prevention on illegal mining. He directed to curb illegal mining, ensuring CCTV cameras, drone survey and strict checking of cargo vehicles. The Chief Minister said that everyone will have to make collective efforts to prevent illegal mining. For this, police, district administration, forest department, transport department and mining department should work with mutual coordination.
Encourage M-Sand widely
The Chief Minister said that along with M-Sand being environmentally friendly, quality building materials are a great option. It should be widely encouraged to reduce gravel exploitation. At the same time, Mr. Sharma also instructed to encourage the use of crusher dust.
Work on reorganization of department
Sharma said that departmental personnel should discharge their responsibility with dedication and give top priority to the state interest. He also directed for restructuring the mining department in order of quality enhancement of departmental works and transferred personnel posted in the department for a long time.
The Chief Minister provided necessary guidelines, detailed reviews of DMFT and NMET related cases to explore the possibilities of auction of new blocks. Also, he also directed to observe the best functioning implemented in the mining sector in other states including Odisha and to work on the possibility of implementing them in Rajasthan.
High officials of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
