Property consultants delegation met MP Manish Tiwari on issues related to property transaction

Chandigarh A delegation of Tricity Property Consultants Welfare Federation (Reg.) Met MP Manish Tiwari on Tuesday and demanded intervention on two important issues related to property transactions in Chandigarh. The delegation demanded that the share-wise purchase of the properties located in Phase-2 (ahead of Sector 31) should be allowed to speed up local business activities.

The delegates clarified that the area does not come under any legal dispute, despite this, there is unnecessary ban on share-wise transactions here. This is not only causing damage to the traders, but is also disrupting the normal process of property market. He said that if a positive decision is not taken on it soon, the market would be deepened.

At the same time, the Federation demanded MP Tiwari that stamp duty on GPA (General Power of Attorney) among family members be forgiven, as is already applicable in Punjab and Haryana. The delegation argued that it is not only unnecessary to collect stamp duty on such transactions in Chandigarh, but it also puts a financial burden on the common man. Duty waiver on GPA transfer will be a practical step to make the transfer of family property simple and easy.

MP Manish Tiwari, while listening to the delegation’s words seriously, assured that he would soon raise both these issues before the Chandigarh administration and take appropriate initiatives for solution. He said that the real issues related to the business and real estate world of the city will be settled on priority basis.

The delegation included Federation Chairman Kamal Gupta, Chief Patron Surinder Singh, Advisor Vikram Chopra, and Senior Vice President Sanjeev Kumar. Everyone thanked the MP and said that if the administration takes positive steps on these demands, then the property market in Chandigarh will get new energy and the investment environment will also be strengthened.
