Researchers at the Institute for Health Metrix and Evolution of Washington University said in their study published in the journal ‘Nature Medicine’ that consuming processed meat from 0.6 grams to 57 grams daily can increase the risk of type 2 diabetes by at least 11 percent. At the same time, consuming 0.78 grams to 55 grams per day can be 7 percent higher at the risk of colorectal cancer.
In addition, eating 50 grams of processed meat per day increases the risk of ischemic heart disease (IHD) by 15 percent.
Sugar-sweetened Beverages can increase the risk of consumption type 2 diabetes from 1.5 grams to 390 grams daily and the risk of heart disease can increase by 2 percent. Researchers reported that the danger increases rapidly even in small amounts, ie a serving or less food every day.
This research suggests that we should eat processed meat (such as packet off meat), sweet beverages and trans-fat items. Researchers say that there is a need to create a structure of health check-ups together and carefully for ultra-processed foods.
Conclusions have shown that whatever amount of these foods are eaten, the danger increases, and the fastest danger increases when you consume them in small amounts daily.
