Maharajganj. Preparations are in full swing in Uttar Pradesh for the month of Sawan. The Yogi government and the police administration have made elaborate arrangements for the convenience and security of devotees, especially Kavadis,. Police and security forces are deployed all over the state, so that there is no inconvenience to any Kavadia. Kavad routes are being strictly monitored and local administrations have been instructed to have strong arrangements.
Special vigilance is being taken on the 84-km-long border of India-Nepal, so that no anti-national elements can cross the border during this festival. Border Security Force (SSB), police and other security agencies are on high alert in Maharajganj district. Every person coming and going from Nepal is being allowed to enter India only after checking intensive search, identity cards and goods. SSB jawans are patrolling the border, and CCTV cameras are constantly being monitored. Its purpose is to make the month of Sawan peacefully and safely.
Maharajganj Superintendent of Police (SP) Soomndra Meena said that CCTV cameras have been installed at the Mahadev temple in view of the month of Sawan. Barricading, adequate lights and traffic police have been deployed on the temple and Kavad road to prevent any accident. Additional police force has been deployed by preparing duty charts. Policemen will also be deployed in plain clothes, who will especially keep a close watch on any anti -social behavior with women and take prompt action.
SP Meena said that coordination with the temple administration has been established and the deficiencies have been reviewed on the spot. All concerned officials have been instructed to ensure necessary arrangements. Additionally, all the police stations adjacent to the border are placed on high alert, and special monitoring on the border routes. We are confident that the festival of Sawan month will be done peacefully and safely with strong arrangements.

Especially thousands of devotees arrive from Nepal at the Panchmukhi Itahia Shiva temple of Maharajganj. The administration has made all necessary arrangements for the convenience of the devotees. The deployment of CCTV cameras as well as 24 hours police and SSB has been ensured in the temple premises.
