New Delhi. Some more new information has come to light about Jalaluddin alias Chhangur Baba, who runs an illegal conversion gang from Balrampur in UP. Chhangur Baba had contact with mafia Atik Ahmed. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Chhangur Baba campaigned for Atik Ahmed on Shravasti seat. During that time, Atik Ahmed was also accompanied by Chhangur Baba on stage in several public meetings. According to the news of Aaj Tak, Chhangur Baba had sought votes for Atik Ahmed in the Muslim populated areas of Shravasti. However, that election Atik Ahmed did not win.
On the other hand, Chhangur Baba’s connection with Pakistani intelligence agency ISI has also come out. UP ATS is investigating this. According to media reports, Chhangur Baba had entrusted a large number of his followers for conversion. Muslim youths used to implicate the women by becoming Hindus and later pressurized them to convert and become Muslims. Many such cases have come up. From UP to Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Nepal, Chhangur Baba had spread the network of illegal conversion gangs. Some henchmen of Chhangur Baba sitting in Nepal were also in contact with ISI. Chhangur was engaged in a mission to increase the Muslim population across the country.
He was trying to spoil India’s demography by converting Hindus. Significantly, Chhangur has been sent by the court to the custody of ATS till July 16, it is being questioned daily. He was recently arrested from Balrampur. The administration had demolished a bulldozer on a kothi built illegally on about 3 bighas of land in Madhpur village of Balrampur. This Kothi was named after Neetu alias Nasreen, considered the closest to Chhangur Baba.
