Nimisha Priya is going to be hanged in Yemen on 16 July. All attempts to stop Nimisha’s punishment by the Government of India are currently failing. Amidst all these disappointment, India’s Grand Mufti Kanthapuram AP Abubakar has awakened an expectation of Nimisha’s escape after the intervention of AP Abubakar Muslim.
On the request of Abubakar Muslim, request is going on for the death sentence of Nimisha Priya in Yemen. It is headed by the Muslim religious leader of Yemen Sheikh Habib Umar. Habib Abdurrahman Ali famous on Sheikh Habib’s representative called an emergency meeting in northern Yemen in which he met the representative of the Yamani government, the supreme judge of the criminal court, the brother of Talal and the tribal leaders. But no public information has been revealed about what has happened in this meeting. However, with the intervention of Grand Mufti, Nimisha Priya’s family has a small hope.
Nurse Nurse Priya, who hails from Kerala, was convicted in the case of the death of her business partner Talal Abdo Mehdi in Yemen in 2017. Nimisha accused Talal of mental and physical harassment, stealing money and seizing passports. It was told that she was trying to escape from the country. In this effort, he injected Talal unconscious so that he could withdraw his passport. But Talal died in this process. Nimisha was sentenced to death on behalf of the Yemen government on 16 July 2025 for being found guilty of murder.
