Congress MP from Wayanad Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has said that Robusta Coffee with GI tags of this hill district has been specially mentioned in the ‘Ek District Ek Product’ (ODOP) program of the center which is the first such recognition to a product in Kerala.
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi claimed in a post on the social media platform ‘X’, “Wayanad Coffee has received a special mention under Category A Agriculture in the ODOP program of the Government of India. This is the first recognition of any such product from Kerala. ”
He said in his post on ‘X’, “This honor celebrates the unique identity of the dedication of the farmers of Wayanad and a pillar of the Economy of Wayanad, our GI-tag Robusta coffee”.
Priyanka said, “Let us respect the prosperity of our earth and the spirit of its people.” “A district one product” (ODOP) Initiative aims to promote balanced regional development in the whole of India by choosing, branding and promoting a unique product from each district.
