Jaipur. Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Dia Kumari visited Nand Ghar in Vidyadhar Nagar, Jaipur and saw the positive change being brought in the lives of women and children by Nand Ghar, the major social initiative of Vedanta. This project, run by Anil Aggarwal Foundation, is converting traditional Anganwadis into modern, child-interest centers which are equipped with smart learning tools, Bala (building edge learning ads) design, LED TV and attractive infrastructure, which promotes the complete growth of children of 3–6 years. During his tour, he visited interactive classes with smart TVs, e-learning modules and Bala installations, making early child education more interesting and effective. She met Anganwadi Didis and interacted with the women from nearby settlements, in which she learned to increase income and self-reliance through skill development initiatives like handicrafts, food processing. Explain that in Rajasthan itself, Vedanta has signed an MoU for the development of 25,000 Nand houses, which is gaining momentum to the state’s early childhood development and rural women empowerment schemes.
On this important occasion, Shashi Arora, CEO of Nand Ghar said, “It is an honor for us that Deputy Chief Minister Dia Kumari visited Nand Ghar and saw the work done at our original level. His encouragement makes us more committed towards women and children towards a healthy and strong future building.
It is our endeavor in Nand Ghar to ensure overall and permanent development in areas such as malnutrition, early child care and education, women empowerment and health services with the government’s cooperation and active participation of the community, for which we are determined to provide effective and detailed solutions. ” Nand Ghar, currently working through more than 8,500 centers in 15 states, is a modernized Anganwadi model that is co -working to empower the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDs) with the government.
As part of this effort, Vedanta has launched the ‘Balvardhan Project’ in Dholpur, Rajasthan – it is a scientific and scalable model, which John Snow Inc. (JSI) and are working to improve the results of early hair development together with specialist partners such as Rockt Learning. This initiative focuses on data-based effects, capacity building, and innovative digital education, making it a replicable national model.
