Uttarakhand news: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami instructed the officials during the review of the Department of Skill Development and Labor in the Secretariat to work in coordination with all the concerned departmental secretaries to connect the youth in the state with skill development and employment. He directed the Chief Secretary to meet with the secretaries and formulate a concrete strategy for this.
The Chief Minister also directed to connect skill development with incubation and growth centers. He said that in every district, local people should be provided better training for works like plumber, electrician, carpenter, mistry. Training courses should be prepared keeping in mind the demand of industries and future requirements. State -of -the -art machines, laboratories (labs) and smart classrooms should be installed in training centers.
Connected with skill development and training
The Chief Minister directed the officials that people should be linked to skill development and training keeping in mind the traditional identity of every district. Along with increasing registration on the e -ram portal, all skilled workers should be brought under the purview of social security. He directed that a quick plan should be made for action related to the rehabilitation for child labor liberation. A special campaign for child labor liberation should be launched in large districts of the state.
The Chief Minister directed that special skill development centers should be established to increase the participation of women in the field of self -employment and skill on wheels vans should be started in remote areas of the state. The Chief Minister also instructed to establish regular coordination with Doon University to provide courses of foreign languages to such youths on contact with India’s embassies located in the respective countries to connect the youth of the state in healthcare and hospitality sector abroad. The Chief Minister also said that all necessary arrangements should be ensured in the Center of Excellence being built in the districts.
The Chief Minister said that every year how many youths were linked to skill development and employment, the Department of Skill Development should submit a clear action plan about the long -term scheme within 10 days.
It was informed in the meeting that the Candidates undergoing training in 27 ITIs of the state have been agreed to the Government of India to provide one year training in ITI and one year training in industries. The process of obtaining consensus soon for five other ITIs is moving.
