Adani Group has sold 20 percent stake in AWL (Adani Wilmer Limited) Agri Business Limited to Wilmer International, Singapore for Rs 7150 crore. The company has informed the stock market about this. AWL Agri Business Limited was previously known as Adani Wilmer Limited. The Adani Group announced to sell its entire 44 percent stake in Adaani Wilmer in December. The purpose of the group behind this was to focus on its major infrastructure business.
Adani Commodities LLP and Wilmer International reached an agreement
Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL), a subsidiary of Adani Commodities LLP (ACL) and Wilmer International, Singapore’s subsidiary Lens Private Limited. They gave each other the option to buy or sell shares of Adani Enterprises Limited/Adani Commodities LLP at Adani Wilmer Limited, but it should not exceed Rs 305 per share. Both had about 88 percent of the company (each) stake in the company.
Adani sold 13.5 percent stake in January
Adani Enterprises Limited/Adani Commodities LLP sold its 13.5 percent stake in January 2025 at a price of Rs 276.51 per share. Subsequently, Adani Enterprises Limited/Adani Commodities LLP had about 30.42 percent stake in Adani Enterprises Limited near LLP. The Adani Group has now sold a 20 percent stake in the Adani Wilmer Limited Agri Business to Wilmer International in Singapore at Rs 275 per share. After this latest transaction, Wilmer International, AWL has become a majority shareholder in Agri, who has overtaken Adani with a 64 percent stake.
