In the coming days, cases related to the technical fault of the aircraft are coming up. In this episode, IndiGo flight going from Delhi to Goa once again had to make an emergency landing in Mumbai after a technical fault in the mid-year. In view of this situation, the Airport Authority declared a complete emergency.
Flight number 6E 6271 was scheduled to land at Goa’s Manohar International Airport but was turned towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) of Mumbai as a precaution. According to the statement released by CSMIA, the Emergency was declared at 9:35 pm, the aircraft landed safely at 9:52 pm and the Emergency was lifted at 9:57 pm.
The Airport Authority confirmed “all passengers were taken off by safe aircraft and assisted by terminal staff, the overall operation of the airport had no effect. Security in CSMIA is our top priority.”
IndiGo arranged for alternative aircraft
Indigo Airlines regretted the inconvenience, saying that alternative aircraft have been arranged to complete the journey. The airline said in its statement, “The aircraft sent as an alternative will soon leave for Goa with all the passengers. In IndiGo, the safety of our passengers, crew and aircraft is paramount.” The airline also stated that all the passengers are safe, and the staff is coordinating to make proper arrangements for the passengers so that inconvenience can be reduced.
