Uttarakhand news: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given Vigilance an open exemption to take action against the corrupt. Its effect is seen in the number of increasing vigilance trap and arrests year after year. Not only this, Vigilance, based on strong evidence, has managed to punish the accused in 71 percent of cases in the last four and a half years. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had clarified the attitude on zero tolerance against corruption as soon as he took over the state. Its clear effect is visible in the vigilance proceedings.
In the last four years, the elder accused was arrested and sent to jail. If you look at the data, then the cases of punishment are also increasing in the state along with Vigilance Trap and Arrests. During this, Vigilance carried out 94 arrests in a total of 82 traps, including 13 gazetted officers. A total of 125 complaints have been received with Vigilance for the last four and a half years, with 82 traps in 18, after an open examination in 18, 25. After the arrest, Vigilance has been able to take up to 71 percent of the sentence rate in court with concrete evidence and strong lobbying. It is clear that the government is working on the mission to eliminate the problem of corruption from the root. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Vigilance Department has also issued a toll free number 1064 to file a complaint. Not only this, the Chief Minister has instructed all the departments to expedite the prosecution process in the cases of trap, along with not giving them the responsibility or important responsibility to the accused.

Big elders arrested
01 – Lonivi AE
In Nainital district, the Assistant Engineer of Public Works Department was arrested red handed for seeking ₹ 10,000 bribe from the contractor.
02 – UPCL JE
Vigilance arrested a JE of Herbertpur Sub Station, Dehradun, taking a bribe of ₹ 15000.
03 – LIU personnel
In Ramnagar in Nainital district, the Vigilance team arrested LIU sub -inspector and chief constable while taking bribe.
04 -Rodways AGM
In Kashipur, the Roadways Assistant General Manager was arrested taking a bribe of 90 thousand rupees in exchange for contracted bus operations.
05 – Block Education Officer
In Khanpur block of Haridwar, the Block Education Officer was arrested taking a bribe of ₹ 10,000.
06 – GST Assistant Commissioner
The GST Assistant Commissioner working in Dehradun was arrested taking a bribe of 75 thousand.
07 – District Excise Officer
The District Excise Officer posted in Rudrapur was arrested from the liquor businessman taking 10 percent bribe in lieu of goods worth Rs 10 lakh.
