A heartbreaking incident has come to light from the Ularyakavil area of Kollam district of Kerala, which has shook the entire area. Rejection and mental stress in love made a young man so blind that he first brutally murdered a student and then jumped in front of the train himself.
Attack with a knife by entering the house
The incident took place on Monday evening when the accused youth Tejas, who was the son of an ACP rank police officer, suddenly reached the house of student Fibin and his father Gomas. Tejas had a knife and two liters of petrol bottle in his hand. According to the police, when Gomas opened the door, Tejas started arguing with them. Shortly, Fibin also came out of the room. Then Tejas stabbed the fibin with a knife. In an attempt to save himself, the bruised Fibin ran out of the house, but fell unconscious at a short distance away.
The locals immediately rushed Fibin and his injured father Gomas to the hospital, but by then it was too late. Doctors declared Fibin dead while his father’s treatment is still going on.
Accused Tejas commits suicide
Shortly after executing the incident, Tejas ran towards the railway line in the pass and committed suicide by jumping in front of a high speed train there. His body has been recovered from the spot. Tejas’s suicide made the entire case even more shocking.
There was tension due to marriage proposal
Police investigation has revealed that Tejas and Fibin’s sister studied in the same engineering college. During his studies, the closeness between the two increased and the families had also started their marriage. Both families agreed to marriage, but some time ago Fibin’s sister changed her mind and refused to marry. She clearly told her family that she does not want to marry Tejas.
Tejas could not bear this refusal. This rejection severely affected her mental balance. His police training was also interrupted and he failed in physical examination. According to family members, he was being depressed and was also being given counseling.
Threatened before murder
According to the information, Fibin’s sister had told a few days ago that Tejas is harassing him by calling him again and again. Fibin had also given a strong warning to Tejas about this matter. It is believed that Tejas, suffering from revenge, carried out this dreadful incident.
Police is doing intensive investigation
At present, the police have registered a case and the entire incident is being investigated. Tejas’ car, knife and petrol bottle have been recovered from the spot. Officials say that aspects like mental health and social pressure in this case will also be seriously tested.
