Tirupati. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board (TTD), who oversees the temple of the famous Lord Venkateswara in Andhra Pradesh, has suspended four of its employees. Deputy Executive Engineer B.D. Elizer, BIRD Hospital’s nurse S. Rosie, Pharmacist M. Premavati of the same hospital and Dr. G. of SV Ayurvedic Pharmacy. Are untreated. The four employees have been accused of allegedly following Christianity even after working in a Hindu religious institution. This is a violation of the institutional code of conduct of the TTD board.

It has been told by the TTD board that suspension action was taken after the report of vigilance and internal investigation against the above four employees. According to TTD, all these failed to accept the expected religious conduct. The TTD board says that the vigilance department investigated and the documents were also seen. Which showed that B.C. Elizer, S. Rosie, M. Premavati and Dr. G. Unstable Christianity was following. After this, action was taken on all under the rules of discipline. The TTD board has said that its employees are expected to conduct under the tradition and values of the institution.
Rules related to TTD board were changed in the year 2007. Under the new rule, non -Hindus cannot be appointed in TTD. The TTD board had earlier said that it is working to transfer non -Hindu employees working here to other departments of Andhra Pradesh government and give voluntary retirement (VRS). At the same time, Chandrababu Naidu government of Andhra Pradesh has also said that non -Hindu employees of TTD will be sent to other departments. Non -Hindu employees who came before 2007 in TTD board are still working. It is planned to recruit Hindu employees instead of all these.
