Uidai announs biometric update: Bhuvanesh Kumar, CEO of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), said that the goal of this platform is to start biometric updates for children through schools. According to reports, it will happen in the next two months. This technique is currently in the test step and is expected to be operational within 45–60 days. So, whatever you want to know about this latest development, let’s look at everyone.

UIDAI biometric update for children

UIDAI plans to distribute biometric machines in districts, where they will be put in turn to schools to facilitate updating them. Currently, more than 7 crore children have not yet updated their Aadhaar biometrics. Kumar insisted that it is mandatory for all people aged five years and above to update biometrics. It is very important to complete the timely completion of compulsory biometric updates (MBU) to ensure the accuracy and reliability of children’s biometric data. According to the current rules, if the MBU is not completed until the child is 7 years old, its Aadhaar number will be defused.

Fines for not updating

If the compulsory biometric update (MBU) is made after the child is seven years old, then a fee of ₹ 100 will be charged for the update. This process is free for children aged 5 to 7 years. To show physical changes affecting accuracy, another MBU will have to be done around the age of 15. Kumar told PTI that UIDAI is planning to expand the project at the age of 15 to include the second update at the age of 15.
