Bihar vidhan sabha: On the third day of the monsoon session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, strong political tension was seen to increase when there was a sharp remarks by Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav on the special intensive amendment (SIR) of the voter list and the sharp reaction by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. In view of this growing sharp debate, the proceedings of the House were postponed till 2 pm in the presence of all the members.
This dispute is clearly showing deeply divided politics about the time and transparency of the SIR process. Stunning and opposition parties consider it to be a shock to the rights of the people, while CM Nitish rejected it as part of the electoral strategy and said that “Decisions like Lok Sabha should be abandoned during the election”.

Assembly postponed indefinitely

The bill was introduced by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. Earlier, the opposition member came to Vel and raised anti -government slogans demanding the withdrawal of the SIR of the voter list issued in Bihar. Chairman Awadhesh Narayan Singh asked to be the last day of the monsoon session and the opposition members to go to the seat but they did not desist from it. The Chairman, while taking action of the House during this session, thanked all the members, including the Chief Minister, both the Deputy Chief Minister. The proceedings of the House were adjourned indefinitely in just 13 minutes 43 seconds.
