Lucknow News: The state of Uttar Pradesh (Under-19) was seen on the third day of the Badminton Competition-2025. In the semi -final matches of this eastern region selection trial, the players have confirmed their place in the finals, performing exciting games in the boys and girls category. Two matches were played today under the ongoing District Football League 2025 at Dilkusha Stadium in Cantt. In the first match, Excel Arena FC defeated Red Star FC 2–0, who performed brilliantly.

In the semi-finals of the girl child singles category of the badminton competition, Divyanshi Gautam of Agra defeated Mathura’s Ashhe Singh 21-15 21-17 in straight sets to enter the finals. In the second semi-final match, Taranjit Kaur of Moradabad defeated Riddhi Bhardwaj 21-6 21-11 in a one-sided manner. Thus the final match will be played between Divine Gautam and Taranjit Kaur. Hussain Ansari of Gorakhpur performed brilliantly in the boys singles category. Defeated Aamar Afzal 21-14, 21-10. Kapil Salonia of Sports College Lucknow has made a strong game and made it to the finals.
Interesting struggle in doubles matches
In the boys doubles category, Abhishek Kushwaha of Gorakhpur and Kapil Salonia of Sports College defeated the pair of Harshit Chaudhary of Muzaffarnagar and Yuvraj Siwach of Meerut 21-18, 16-21, 21-16 in a tough match. In the girls doubles category, the pair of Aditya Yadav of Gorakhpur and Riddhima Singh of Moradabad proved superiority by defeating Aditri Katiyar and Anshika Gupta 21-6, 21-6 in a unilateral match. In the second semi-finals, the pair of Deong Tomar of Moradabad and Jhansi’s Sarekha Chaurasia defeated Aryan Bhatt of Moradabad and Devendra Singh Thakur of Lalitpur 21-18 21-10.
Excel Arena wins, second match draws
Two matches were played under the late Satish Kumar Shukla Memorial District Football League 2025 at the Dilkusha Stadium in Cantt. In the first match, Excel Arina FC performed brilliantly and defeated Red Star FC 2–0. Himanshu was the hero of Excel Arena’s victory, who scored two brilliant goals in the 20th and 30th minutes, which the team named the match till the end, and the second match was played between Prime Bowlers FC vsanand FC, in which both teams performed the best protective game. However, despite several efforts, no team could score a goal and ended at 0–0.
