An FIR has been lodged at the local police station against BJP MP Manoj Tiwari from Delhi and Nishikant Dubey from Godda Nishikant Dubey for forcibly entering the sanctum sanctorum of Vaidyanath Dham Temple in Deoghar. This FIR has been lodged on the complaint of Karthik Nath Thakur, former general secretary of Panda Dharmarakshini Sabha of Deoghar on August 7, while reacting to this, MP Nishikant Dubey wrote on social media, “This case is due to worship. So far 51 cases have been registered against me. Tomorrow I will surrender directly from Deoghar Airport to the police station.”
Kartik Nath Thakur of Panda Dharmarakshini Sabha has said in his complaint that VVIP darshan and entry into the sanctum sanctorum in the temple during the Shravani fair. Despite this, on August 2, Manoj Tiwari, Nishikant Dubey, his son Kanishkant Dubey, personal assistants of both MPs and some BJP workers of Deoghar broke all the protocols and forcibly entered the sanctum sanctorum.
The complaint also said that the policemen posted at the exit gate were pushed and pushed, causing a stampede in the temple premises. Any untoward incident with devotees could have happened. Pooja was interrupted due to forced entry and worship of MPs. Kartiknath Thakur has said in the complaint that the incident took place during the evening Kancha Jal Puja at around 8:45 pm that night. The priests refused MPs and their associates to go to the sanctum sanctorum, but the local person forcibly took Abhayanand Jha Manoj Tiwari and his secretary inside. Thousands of devotees present in the temple premises spread panic. Former General Secretary of Panda Dharmarakshini Mahasabha has also accused Nishikant Dubey of spreading chaos in the temple.
Significantly, Manoj Tiwari completed the 105 km long Kanwar Yatra from Sultanganj to Deoghar on 2 August. Nishikant Dubey was also with him during this time. Meanwhile, Jharkhand BJP president and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Babulal Marandi reacted sharply to the FIR against MPs.
He wrote on social media, “Some Jharkhand Police officers who are bent on crossing the limits of lowliness and are engaged in conspiracy, they should remember that wearing uniforms means protecting the public, not to strangle justice for personal enmity and personal selfishness.” Marandi further wrote, “If the protector of the law starts plucking, then the public’s trust does not break, but one day becomes a storm of truth. It should not be forgotten that the chair and uniform are guests of time. Karma and intention are the real identity!”
