Jaipur,. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that it is our priority to make the state completely self -sufficient in the water sector. For this, the state government has initiated various important water and irrigation projects from the beginning of its tenure so that the availability of water to the people of the state can increase. He instructed the officials to expedite the work to embodiment the various announcements made in the budget in the last two years in this regard. He directed that a progress report should be sent to the Chief Minister’s Office every 15 days, ensuring regular monitoring of these projects.
Sharma was presiding over the review meeting of Water Resources Department, Indira Gandhi Canal Department and Irrigated Area Development Department at the Chief Minister’s Office on Wednesday. He said that water is a fundamental need in the development of the state. The uninterrupted supply of water will facilitate the life of the common man. In such a situation, many important decisions have been taken by our government by developing water sources and increasing their collection capacity. He said that water of rivers should not be allowed to flow in vain to ensure adequate supply of irrigation and drinking water in the state. If water is fully used, then farmers will be given maximum benefit.
Regular monitoring of Ram Jalaseu Link Project, work should be seen on the ground
The Chief Minister said that Ram Jalaseu Link Project is an ambitious project of the state government. Which will supply uninterrupted water to a large population of the state. In such a situation, taking this project on priority, the officers should regular monitoring it and ensure work in a phased and planned manner. He instructed the officials not to delay unnecessarily in the implementation of this important project. Work should be seen on the ground. He instructed the officials to send the progress report of this project to the Chief Minister’s Office every 15 days.
Officials in the meeting said that the work order has been issued to prepare the DPR of the water refraction link from Rana Pratap Sagar Dam-Brahmani River in Bisalpur dam. Also, a work order has also been issued to prepare a DPR to connect the Bisalpur dam to Banganga and Ruparel rivers. In the meeting, various works were also reviewed under the project, including the works of Mej Barrage-Bundi, Dungri Dam and Rathore Barrage and Israda Dam to Ramgarh Dam, Jawipura and Bisalpur Dam to More Sagar-Ajmer.
Officers go to the field and embodge the projects on the ground
He instructed the officials to complete the projects within the stipulated time. He clarified that negligence will not be tolerated in any work of public interest and strict action will be taken against irresponsible personnel. He said that the officers should go active in the field and work in the field. There will be no reduction in the resources required by the government. Also, maintain continuous coordination with the Center to accelerate the projects.
Convert functions to reservoirs should be completed soon
While reviewing the Indira Gandhi Canal Department, Sharma said that the four natural depression on the Burji of Indira Gandhi main canal should be completed soon. Also, the work of land acquisition for the reservoirs should be completed soon. The Chief Minister reviewed the lift canals of the Indira Gandhi Canal Project and said that the fountain irrigation system should be specially developed.
Bring fast in the works of land acquisition
Sharma said that while reviewing the physical and financial progress of the Parvan large multi-purpose irrigation project, directed that under the project, the construction of the remaining diggies, the erection work of the radial gates, all the rehabilitation work should be completed. Also, the award amount of land acquisition should be paid under the project. He said that under the Dholpur lift irrigation project, INTEC structure work, pipeline laying work and rehabilitation award in Israda drinking water project should be accelerated. Forest clearance in Kalitir lift project should be started soon for the award for land acquisition.
Coordinate with NREGA for management of 3 thousand 236 small dams
Sharma said that 3 thousand 236 small dams should be coordinated by NREGA for proper management of water structure by the Water Resources Department. He instructed the officials to expedite this work. The Chief Minister reviewed various projects including Yamuna Water Agreement, Upper High Level Canal, Dewas III and IV Project, Rajasthan Water Sector Livelihood Improvement Project, Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project and various projects including Package 3, Package 3, Dam Rehabilitation and Rehabilitation Project, Pump Storage Project.
In the meeting, Sharma told the officials that the work of land acquisition awards, forest and environmental sanctions and other clearance should be expedited. Also, he gave directions to the officials to complete various tasks including NITs, Tenders, Workings and DPRs of various pending budgetary announcements.
