The government is continuously running several schemes for the good of farmers, which is promoting advanced techniques in farming. In this series, under the Pradhan Mantri National Agricultural Development Scheme (PMRKVY), the soil of the field will be examined through the mobile app in the selected gram panchayats of Lucknow division for Kharif 2025 seasons under the “National Project on So So So So So So Soil Health and Fertility” (Soil Health Card Scheme).

Special campaign will start from April 21
This campaign will be run on 21, 25, 29 April and 5 May 2025 in 16520 selected gram panchayats of the state by the Directorate of Uttar Pradesh Agriculture. In this, 100 earthen samples will be taken from each panchayat and 70% of the panchayats will be given free Soil Health Cards.
What are the benefits of soil testing?
According to Dr. Manmohan Lal, Assistant Director Soil Testing, the soil test shows which nutrients are in the soil and which is lacking. With this, farmers can know how the condition of their land is and what is necessary to improve it.
Appeal of Agriculture Department
Dr. Lal has appealed to the farmers of the selected gram panchayats to participate in this campaign along with the Agriculture Department and Agriculture Sakhi. Samples will be taken from the mobile app and health cards will be given.
