Ranthambore Fort located in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan not only holds historical significance, but is also considered a very sacred place spiritually. What is the specialty of the temple?
The biggest feature of the Trinetra Ganesh temple is – here a three -eye statue of Lord Ganesha, which is rarely seen across the country. Recognition related to history
This temple was built in 1299 AD by King Hammir Dev Chauhan of Ranthambore. It is said that when Sultan Alauddin Khilji of Delhi attacked Ranthambore, King Hammir Dev wished Lord Ganesha to win in war. The same night Ganesha appeared to the king in a dream and appeared in a trinetra form on the wall of the fort. After this, the king built the temple there.
Unique tradition of sending letters
Another special tradition of this temple is to send an invitation letter to Lord Ganesha. People from all over the country send letters to Lord Ganesha before their marriage, shaving, home entry or any auspicious work, so that he can become the first invited guest. Thousands of invitation letters in the temple come daily by post and they are dedicated to Ganesha after duly worshiped.

Every year a huge fair is organized here on Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturthi (Ganesh Chaturthi), in which millions of devotees reach from all over the country to visit. On this day, there are bhajan-kirtan overnight in the temple and the entire fort is painted in the color of devotion.
How to reach
The Trinetra Ganesh Temple is located within the Ranthambore National Park. It is about 12 kilometers from Sawai Madhopur railway station. Devotees have to climb the fort to reach the temple, which is about 1.5 km long, but the feeling of vision of Ganesha does not allow this fatigue.
