Jammu. On Wednesday, another batch of 6,064 pilgrims left for a visit to the Amarnath Cave Temple in South Kashmir Himalayas. The officers provided this information. Amid tight security arrangements, pilgrims including 1,511 women in two different convoys left for Baltal base camps in Nunwan-Pahalgam and Ganderbal in Anantnag.
3,593 pilgrims are going to the convoy of 139 vehicles for the Pahalgam base camp, while 2471 pilgrims aboard 95 vehicles have preferred Baltal Marg for their visit. The 38 -day annual journey for the Amarnath Cave Temple began on both routes on July 3 and will end on August 9 with the festival of Rakshabandhan. So far, more than 2.35 lakh pilgrims have seen the naturally built Shivling.
