Amrit thoughts | The registration process started on Tuesday for the visit to the holy Amarnath cave in the southern Himalayas. The Holy Amarnath Yatra will start from July 3 this year and on August 9, Shravan Purnima will conclude on the day of Raksha Bandhan. Punjab National Bank regional head Anil Sharma said that the registration for the yatra was to start from April 14 but due to the holiday on this day, this work started from today.
The registration process can be done through 533 branches of banks across the country. Registration is not available for children under thirteen years of age, pregnant women and elders above 70 years of age. He said that the process of registration from the time of opening of banks at 10.00 am had become a lot for which devotees started gathering in the banks in the early hours while chanting ‘Bum Bum Bhole’.

The process of advance registration for the journey will start in 533 branches of four banks across the country. Devotees can register for travel from 309 branches of Punjab National Bank, 91 branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, 34 branches of Yes Bank and 99 branches of State Bank of India. Registration can be done in a biometric manner with a fee of Rs 150 and medical certificate will be required for this.
Meanwhile, Mr. Amarnath Shrine Beard has also provided complete information about the teams of banks, hospitals, health centers and doctors to ensure the convenience of devotees. The board has also provided collective registration facility for family or people traveling in group together.
