Srinagar. In Jammu and Kashmir, security forces have made many levels and intensive security arrangements to ensure security and smooth operation of the annual Amarnath Yatra starting from July 3. Every year thousands of devotees visit the holy cave in the Himalayas to visit. After the mock drill in South Kashmir, Kashmir Inspector General of Police (IGP) Vidhi Kumar Birdi told the media that the Amarnath Yatra will be more tight monitoring and better security coordination this year.
He said, “This time to make the journey safe and comfortable, multi -level and intensive security arrangements have been made.” The entire route has been divided into several areas to improve the security of the Amarnath Yatra, which includes both Pahalgam and Baltal routes. Separate security arrangements have been fixed for each area. Today, the standard operational process (SOP) drill was tested by preparations and reaction capacity in emergency.
The IGP said that the drill was done at base camps, roads, interiors and other important places across Kashmir. Its purpose is to make better coordination between all security agencies and to ensure its responsibility clearly to every unit in an emergency. According to officials, the mock drill included Jammu and Kashmir Police, Central Armed Police Force, Emergency Response Team, Disaster Management, Medical Team and Traffic Regulatory.
The practice focused on fast response, rescue and better communication so that immediate action could be taken in the event of security threats or natural disasters such as landslides or cloudburst. Describing the cooperation of the local people as important, Mr. Birdi said that the success of the Amarnath Yatra has always depended on the active support of the local people. This time too, locals are excited to welcome devotees, help them and ensure safe travel.
Multi security arrangements have been made: Kashmir Police Chief
Kashmir Police Chief V.K. Birdi said on Wednesday that the upcoming annual Amarnath Yatra should be safe and uninterrupted, for this, multi -layered and intensive security arrangements have been made here. Kashmir Inspector General of Police (IGP) told reporters in Anantnag, “This year’s Shri Amarnath Yatra is going to start from next week. Jammu and other security forces have made all security arrangements for the visit. This time compared to last year, multi -level and intensive security arrangements have been made to make the journey more secure and smooth.
Birdi visited the Nunwan base camp in Pahalgam region and reviewed the security arrangements for the pilgrimage starting from July 3. The IGP said that the security system for the 38 -day pilgrimage was distributed at various levels including zonal and on Wednesday, security exercises (drills) were held at every level before the journey.
He said, “The purpose of rehearsal is to enhance our vigilance and our action and response preparation at the time of fear of any danger. Such practice camps were held at every place such as the interiors of the roads, roads or travel routes so that all the security forces should be cautious and they know what specific tasks they have to do to deal with any situation. ‘
When asked about the support of the local people during the journey, Birdi said that it is not possible to organize this visit without the help of the local people. The IGP said, “This journey is successful only with the help and support of the local people. This time too, the locals are excited to welcome passengers and provide all possible help to them.
