The Amarnath Yatra has been postponed again today. The Amarnath Yatra from both Pahalgam and Baltal camps has been issued today by issuing an order till 30 July 2025. Kashmir Commissioner Vijay Kumar Bidhuri issued an order to postpone the Amarnath Yatra and said that Baltal and Pahalgam have been receiving heavy rains since this morning. Therefore, the journey from camps in both areas could not begin. Pilgrims returning to the camps have also been instructed to stay where they are.

Let us know that earlier on July 17, Amarnath Yatra was adjourned for a day. The next day, the journey started again with 7908 devotees on 18 July. On July 17, the valley received rain for more than 30 hours, due to which roads were blocked due to landslides in many places. As a precaution, Commissioner Vijay Kumar Bidhuri has issued an order to postpone the Amarnath Yatra.
When did the Amarnath Yatra begin?
According to information received from Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), Amarnath Yatra started on 3 July 2025 and has seen Baba Barfani in more than 3.93 lakh pilgrims by July 29 in the holy cave. The Amarnath Yatra will end on 3 August 2025 with Raksha Bandhan and Shravan Purnima. This time the journey will be only 38 days.
Where is the cave and what is the way?
Let us tell you that Amarnath Cave is situated at an altitude of 3888 meters in the South Kashmir Himalayas, where Shivling made of natural snow is a symbol of Lord Shiva. To reach the Amarnath cave, one has to travel 141 km from Srinagar. At the same time, routes have been made from Pahalgam or Baltal for Amarnath Yatra. In the year 2025, 581 companies of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) have been deployed to protect the Amarnath pilgrims. At the same time, travel routes have been declared a no-fly zone.
