The Amarnath Yatra on Pahalgam and Baltal routes postponed Srinagar, 30 July (Language) Authorities on Wednesday postponed the Amarnath Yatra on both Pahalgam and Baltal routes due to heavy rains on Pahalgam and Baltal routes due to heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir. A senior official gave this information.
The Information and Public Relations Department of Jammu and Kashmir shared a ‘post’ on the social media forum ‘X’, “Shri Amarnathji Yatra from both Pahalgam and Baltal has been postponed to Shri Amarnathji Yatra for 30 July 2025.” Kashmir Divisional Commissioner Vijay Kumar Bidhudi said that due to heavy rains since Wednesday morning, Baltal and Nunwan/Chandanwadi base camps have not been allowed.
So far, more than 3.93 lakh pilgrims have visited the holy cave temple. The journey will be postponed on Thursday from Bhagwati Nagar base camp. The department said, “The movement of pilgrims from the base camps has been affected due to heavy rains in the travel area. Therefore, it has been decided that on 31 July 2025, the movement of any batch will not be allowed from Bhagwati Nagar Jammu to Baltal and Nunwan base camps.
