Anant Chaturdashi Vrat and Puja Vidhi 2024: Anant Chaturdashi fast is observed on the Chaturdashi date of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada. This fast is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. On this day, the infinite form of Lord Vishnu is worshiped. This year Anant Chaturdashi is on 17 September 2024, Tuesday.

Anant Chaturdashi Puja Muhurta – According to Drik Panchang, the auspicious time for Anant Chaturdashi Puja will be from 06:06 am to 11:44 am.
Anant Chaturdashi Puja Vidhi- On the day of Anant Chaturdashi, wake up before sunrise and take a bath. Before starting the puja, the place of worship should be cleaned thoroughly. Now take a wooden plank and cover it with a yellow cloth and make fourteen tilaks (small vertical stripes) with roli on the cloth. Take 14 Malpuas, 14 Puris and Kheer and place them on each mark. Prepare Panchamrit, a symbol of the ocean of milk (Kshirsagar) and offer it to Lord Vishnu. A sacred thread with 14 knots, considered a symbol of Lord Anant, dip it five times in Panchamrit. This sacred thread is called Anant Sutra. Take a vow of fasting and color the sacred thread with turmeric-kumkum. Now tie the Anant Sutra on the arm (right arm of men and left arm of women). Keep this thread for 14 days and then remove it.
How to observe Anant Chaturdashi fast- On this day, after performing Puja, devotees read or listen to the Vrat Katha. And tie a yellow thread called Anant Sutra on their arms, which has 14 knots. It is believed that by worshipping Lord Vishnu and observing a fast on this day, the wishes of the devotee are fulfilled. This fast is observed with the wish of happiness, peace, economic prosperity and children etc.
