Lucknow, Amrit Vichar. Badi Bhuiyan Mata Temple, famous for its 108 feet high Dharmadhwaja in Saraura on IIM Road of the capital, remains the center of faith of the devotees. The occasion is of the 12th Sumeru Rudramahayagya going on here. In this ritual which started from 10th November, mantras are chanted by Acharyas and priests every day. In the evening, havan-puja and aarti is performed with full rituals in the presence of Mata Sevak ascetic Naga Sadhu Anand Giri.
Before the commencement of the Yagya, a grand Kalash Yatra was also taken out under the leadership of ascetic Naga Sadhu Anand Giri. In which a large number of devotees participated and after offering prayers at Chandrika Devi temple, filled the urn with water from Maa Gomti river and returned to Badi Bhuyan Mata temple, after which the ritual of this nine Kundiya Sumeru Rudramahayagya which lasted for five days with the establishment of fire – Started with legislation.
Ascetic Naga Sadhu Anand Giri said that the main objective of this event is to develop good intelligence, good behavior and religion among the people. Appealing to the devotees, he said that this ritual is being done for the welfare of the people. Therefore, more and more devotees come to this grand ritual so that they can get its benefits. He told that after Purnahuti on 14th November, this religious ritual will be concluded with the annual fair and grand bhandara on 15th November.
