The war of Mahabharata was fought for the welfare of the whole world. This war fought in Kurukshetra is the biggest event of the Mahabharata period. This war was fought between the Kauravas and the Pandavas. Many powerful warriors were martyred in this war that lasted for 18 days. The mighty warriors like Bhishma Pitamah and Dronacharya were involved in the war on behalf of the Kauravas. On behalf of the Pandavas, Lord Krishna joined many other warriors, but when the war was in its final stage, there was a turn when Lord Krishna’s elder brother Baladau Balaram Mahabali became so angry with Bhima that he took a sword to kill Bhima.
What was the reason?
The warriors of the two armies were dying one by one in the war between the Kauravas and the Pandavas. On the 18th day of the Mahabharata war, Sahadeva killed Duryodhana’s maternal uncle Shakuni on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, after which Duryodhana started feeling very weak, because Duryodhana lost his intellect and power after losing his maternal uncle Shakuni. This is because he always worked according to Shakuni’s intellect. After the death of Shakuni, there was no one left in the Kaurava army other than Ashwatthama, Kritavarma, Kripacharya and Duryodhana.
Bhima attacked Duryodhana
Duryodhana’s organs were suffering due to fatigue. He was not in a position to fight. Duryodhana hid in the lake to save himself, but the Pandavas got a clue of it. Even after this, Bhima broke Duryodhana’s thigh and killed him and fulfilled his pledge. Lord Krishna’s elder brother Balaram was very angry with Bhima due to the attack on Duryodhana. Balaram reprimanded Bhimsen and said that attacking below the navel is against the rules of mace war.
Balaram plows on Bhima
Balaram told Bhima that it is unrighteous, voluntary. After this Balaram took his solution and attacked Bhimsen. Seeing this, Shri Krishna stopped him with great force. Then Shri Krishna explained to Balarama that the rules have to be broken many times for a sinner and unrighteous person, but Balaram was not satisfied even after hearing all this and went to Dwarka riding on his chariot in anger. Duryodhana also gave up his life on the land of Kurukshetra.
