Buddha Purnima: The festival of Buddha Purnima was celebrated with full devotion and gaiety across the district with a wreath by lighting a lamp in front of the statue of Lord Buddha. On this occasion, the devotees performed Buddha with the removal of Prabhat Pheri. During this time, the whole atmosphere resonated with Buddhaam Sharanam Gachhami. On this occasion, devotees organized a bhandara with Buddha Vandana at many places including Patel Tirahe, Ambedkar Park on behalf of Tathagata Budhamath Committee on this occasion.
Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Service Committee/Park-Mark Maintenance Committee was celebrated with joy in Dr. Ambedkar Park in Naka Satrikh with joy. Former MP Upendra Singh Rawat and committee chairman Ratnesh Kumar inaugurated the Kherdan (Bhandare) by reciting Pushpanjali and Dipani on the statue of Tathagata Buddha as well as Buddha Vandana, Trisharan, Panchsheel. On this occasion, Upendra Singh Rawat said that India is a country of culture of Buddha. India became the world guru by following the thoughts of Buddha. He said that we have to follow the path of Buddha to live with peace, humanity. On this occasion, the general secretary of the committee Ram Otar recited Buddha Vandana, Panchsheel. Hundreds of people received offerings in a day -long pursuit in conjunction with the treasurer of the committee. All the people including the committee’s vice -president Amresh Bahadur, Dev Kumar Gupta and Bhanupratap Singh (Shivam) were present.
Buddha Jayanti program was organized this year by members of Lord Buddha Society on Patel Tirahe. Bhandare’s program started from 11 am to Buddha Vandana and lasted till 5 pm. Thousands of people received offerings in Bhandare. On this occasion, children who passed a good number in the High School and Intermediate 2025 examination were also honored. Members of the Lord Buddha Society also honored people doing social work by garlanding them. On this occasion, many elite people including MP Tanuj Punia, Uttar Pradesh Primary Teachers Association District President Abhishek Singh, Dr. Vivek Verma, Vikram Siddharth, MD Anand, Suresh Chandra Gautam, RP Gautam were present.
