Date of Chaitra Amavasya –
According to the Hindu calendar, Chaitra Amavasya or Bhootdi Amavasya Tithi will start from 7.55 pm on March 28 and it will end at 4.27 am on the next day i.e. 29 March. In such a situation, Chaitra Amavasya will be celebrated on 29 March according to Udaya Tithi.
On Chaitra Amavasya, bathe in a holy river, lake or house in the morning and offer ancestors. If possible, take a bath in the Ganges on this day. By doing this, virtuous fruits increase.
