Chanakya Niti: Acharya Chanakya is considered a great strategist and diplomat. Chanakya is considered a great visionary scholar. It is said that Chanakya has described many aspects related to life in detail in Niti Shastra. Chanakya’s policies show the path of life to a person. Daridrabhavo vishama sabha cha vinagninaite pradhanti kayam.

The meaning of this shloka mentioned in the ethics is that separation from one’s wife, being insulted by one’s relatives, being in debt, serving an evil or bad master, remaining poor, living in the company or society of evil and selfish people, all these are such things which keep burning the body all the time without fire.

Chanakya says that gentlemen cannot bear the separation from their wives. If their brothers and relatives insult or disrespect them, they cannot forget that either. A person who is under debt always feels sad about not being able to repay the debt. A servant serving an evil king or master also remains unhappy all the time. Poverty is such a curse that a person cannot forget it while sleeping or waking up. He has to face humiliation again and again among his own people and society.

Chanakya says that the pain of insult is like death. All these things are such that a person keeps burning inside without any fire. Chanakya believes that these things are a condition of experiencing pyre while living.
