Amrit Vichar, Ayodhya: A different enthusiasm was seen in Ramnagari Ayodhya regarding the great festival of faith, Chhath. The bride reached the banks of river Saryu with soup in her hand to offer prayers to the setting sun. Meanwhile, the devotees who reached the shore started praising Chhathi Mata along with Lord Ram. For the first time after the coronation of Ramlala, Mahaparva Chhath was organized in Ramnagari, a lot of enthusiasm was seen among the women regarding this. However, the married couple also worshiped Lord Shri Ram along with Chhath Maiya.
Actually, the fast of Chhath Mahaparva is for 5 days. This festival starts with bathing and eating. After that a strict fast is observed for 36 hours. On Thursday evening, chants of Chhathi Mata kept resounding from the streets of Ramnagari Ayodhya to the banks of Saryu river. The women who reached the ghat offered prayers to the setting sun. Not only this, the women also prayed to Chhath Mata for the progress of the country and said, “This time there is double happiness on the festival of Chhath. On one side, Lord Ram is present and on the other side, we are celebrating the festival of Chhath with great pomp.
