Chhath Mahaparva 2025: Chhath Mahaparva completed with offering ardhya to the rising sun.

Barabanki, Amrit Vichar: At 3 o’clock in the night, on all the ghats from the city to the villages, the tune of Ehe Hathjoriya Nu Ho, Adit Kari Jani Deriya… from Rauva is taking the prayers of the devotees to Adidev along with the waves of rivers and lakes. Was. The banks of the ghats were awakening the flame of devotion in the darkness of the night due to the prayers of the devotees.

When it was time for sunrise, there was increased activity in the ponds and lakes. After the puja, the women took their respective soups and stood in the water waiting for Lord Surya. As soon as Lord Bhaskar appeared in the east along with Lalima at 6.20, the chants of Chhathi Maiya echoed. The view of the ghats, ponds and lakes had completely changed. Somewhere Chhathi Maiya’s farewell song Hamni ke chhod ke nagariya na nu ho, Kahwan jaibu e mai, kaise kari hum mein vidai… was evoking a feeling of separation, while at the same time, anxious eyes were looking towards the east, waiting for Lord Surya. .

Lamps burning in the puja plate, atmosphere fragrant with the fragrance of incense, fasting women standing knee-deep in water facing towards the east, family members standing to support them, resounding auspicious songs of rising from the Sun God, such a scene can be seen only at Nageshwarnath pond. No, it was seen on other ghats also. After four o’clock, a crowd of devotees gathered in the streets leading to the ghats. On Friday morning, a crowd of fasting women had gathered at the ghats and ponds to offer Arghya to the rising Sun God amidst the chants of Mangal songs, on the last day of Chhath Puja. The fasting women performed Aarti, lit lamps and after offering Arghya to the rising sun, performed puja and ended the 36-hour long Nirjala Dala Chhath Mahaparva fast. Nageshwarnath pond remained a unique sight.

Since early morning, the songs kept resonating on the pond located in the Nageshwarnath complex. The fasting women appealed to the Sun God through songs to rise soon. Similarly, there was a festive atmosphere at the time of Arghya at other ghats including Chilahata and Alapur Ghats of Reth River, Banki, Oberi, Police Line, Alapur, Dhakauli, Ramnagar, Masauli, Haidergarh and Tikaitnagar. After worshiping, the fasting women reached home and took blessings by touching the feet of their elders.

Somewhere worship is done in a tub and somewhere in a temporary pond.

To offer arghya to the rising sun, the fasting people completed their fast by offering arghya to the rising sun by standing in the water of a bathing tub on the rooftop or in a temporary pond built in some colonies. Shriddha, a resident of Awas Vikas Colony, said that the puja had started at four o’clock. She was standing in the water of the pond outside the house, waiting for sunrise. As soon as the sun rose, Arghya was offered and the fast was completed. On the other hand, at different places in the district, women completed their fast by offering Arghya to the rising sun.

Distributed Prasad, took selfie

After offering Arghya, everyone returned to their respective altars. Prasad of thekua, fruits, sweets etc. was distributed. After this, he slowly wrapped up his tour and bowed his head to Chhathi Maiya and apologized for his mistake. While returning home after the puja, the women danced to the Bhangra drums. There was more enthusiasm among the newlyweds. Also took a selfie after the puja.
