Lucknow, Amrit Vichar. National President of All India Bhojpuri Samaj, Prabhunath Rai said that Chhath Mahaparva will be celebrated on 7th and 8th November on the Gomti banks of the capital. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will start Chhath Puja by offering Argh to the Sun. Preparations are going on at the ghat located at Laxman Fair Ground.
Prabhunath Rai shared all the information related to the puja with journalists at Chhath Ghat on Monday. He told that women fast for the long life of their husband and son. Pooja material remains in numbers 6, 12, 24. Rai told that on November 7 at 5 pm, the Chief Minister will start Chhath Puja by offering half to the Sun on the banks of Gomti. Along with the Chief Minister, both Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brijesh Pathak, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, BJP State President Bhupendra Chaudhary, Organization Minister Dharampal, Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Energy Minister AK Sharma, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, BJP leader Neeraj Singh, Metropolitan President Anand Dwivedi will also attend. To complete Chhath Puja, employees and officers of District Administration, Police Administration, Municipal Corporation, Lucknow Development Authority, Irrigation Department and other departments are present at Chhath Puja Ghat and making arrangements.
Cultural programs will run continuously for 18 hours
Prabhunath told that 150 artists associated with different genres of Bhojpuri folk culture, folk art and folk singing are coming to the programme. They will present cultural programs for 18 hours continuously from 2 pm on 7th November to 7 am on 8th November. Folk singers Suresh Shukla, Rakesh Tiwari from Mumbai, bhajan singer Kishore Chaturvedi from Lucknow, Swati Rizvi, Dhobia dance expert Umesh Kanojia, Awadhesh, son of folk singer Baleshwar, Suresh Kushwaha, Angad Ram Ojha, Sanjay Lal Yadav, SP Chauhan, Santosh Kumar. Banarasi, Upma Pandey, Jaya, Ravi Shankar Dehati and Ankita Singh etc. will present the programme.
