Chhath fast is considered the most difficult. In Chhath Puja, it is very important to follow the rules along with cleanliness. This festival lasts for three days. During this time, devotees worship Chhathi Maiya and Lord Suryadev duly.
According to the Panchang, Chhath Puja has started from Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month i.e. 5th November and this fast will end on Ashtami i.e. 8th November. During this time, it is considered best to worship Chhathi Maiya and Suryadev. Auspicious time of Kharna Puja-
According to the Hindu calendar, sunrise on the second day of Chhath will be at 6.37 am. The same sunset will happen at 5.30 in the evening. Before this, it is considered auspicious to worship Kharna by offering Arghya to the Sun. Apart from this, Sukarma Yoga will last till 10.59 am on the day of Kharna. After this there will be Dhriti Yoga.
Method of Kharna Puja-
Let us tell you that to perform Kharna on the second day of Chhath, the fasting person should clean the place of worship thoroughly. After this, take bath etc. and wear clean clothes. Then in the evening, just before sunset, offer Arghya to Lord Sun. For the proper worship of Chhath Maiya, make kheer using rice, jaggery and milk on an earthen stove. First of all, offer food to Chhath Maiya and finally, those fasting should take Prasad.
