What happens during Nahai-Khai and Kharna-

Day 1: Nahai-Khai: The first day of Chhath Puja is called Nahai-Khai. On this day, the devotees eat only once a day.

Day 2: Kharna: The second day of Chhath Puja is called Kharna. On this day, devotees prepare offerings for Chhathi Mata. There is a tradition of eating sweet rice and gourd khichdi in the evening.

Day 3: Sandhya Arghya: Devotees offer arghya to the Sun God in the evening.

Day 4: Usha Arghya and Parana: In the morning devotees offer Arghya to the Sun God and perform the ritual of Parana.
