Barabanki, Amrit Vichar: Under the Chief Minister’s Group Marriage Scheme, 465 couples were married simultaneously. 459 Hindus and 6 Muslim couples tied the knot at the event held on Friday at the Government Inter College Auditorium. In this program organized under the chairmanship of Uttar Pradesh Scheduled Castes and Tribes Commission Chairman Baijnath Rawat, Hindu couples were married by Gayatri family and Nikah Mufti Akhtar Imam Jama Masjid. According to the District Social Welfare Officer, the government will spend 51 thousand rupees on each couple under the scheme.
Out of this, 35 thousand rupees will be sent directly to the bank account of the girl, so that he can start his new household. The District Panchayat President said that this scheme prevents the extravagance of marriage and helps poor families to marry their children in a respectable manner. The District Magistrate said on the occasion that the mass marriage scheme strengthens social unity and integrity. People of all castes are equally married in the same pavilion are an example of all religion equality. He wished newly married couples a harmonious marital life and also explained the importance of seven rounds.
Rajrani Rawat President Zilla Panchayat, Dinesh Rawat MLA Haidergarh, Shashank Tripathi District Magistrate, Anna Sudan Chief Development Officer, Hargovind Singh, former member Legislative Council, Pramod Tiwari District Vice President BJP were present as special guests in the program.
