Kashi, Amrit Vichar: Dev Deepawali festival will be celebrated in Kashi on 15th November. To increase the grandeur of Dev Deepawali, 84 ghats, ponds and tanks of Kashi will be illuminated with more than 12 lakh lamps. Along with this, divine laser show and green fireworks will also be done. Kashi will have a different look after being decorated with lamps. Dev Deepawali has now gone from local to global. From local to foreign guests, everyone will come to Kashi to see it.
Deputy Director of Tourism Department Rajendra Kumar Rawat said that out of 12 lakh diyas on the occasion of Dev Diwali, about 2.5 to 3 lakh diyas will be made of cow dung. Diyas will be lit on the ghats as well as on the sand across the Ganga. Apart from this, cleaning of the ghats will be done before the festival, the ghats will be illuminated with facade lights and electric lights.
Rajendra Kumar Rawat said that the story of Ganga Avtaran and Shiva Mahima will be displayed on the ghat through laser show. A pollution free green fireworks show will be held on the sand across the Ganga. This will tell people about environmental protection. Tourists from India and abroad come to see this festival of Dev Deepawali.
