Rules of Devuthani Ekadashi-
Let us tell you that on the day of Ekadashi, it is considered beneficial to worship Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi properly. There are many activities which are prohibited to be done on this day. On the day of Ekadashi, one should eat satvik food and one should avoid consuming meat, alcohol etc. on this day. Garlic and onion should not be consumed on this day.
On the biggest Ekadashi of the year, Devuthani Ekadashi, the marriage of Lord Shaligram and Mother Tulsi takes place, hence on this auspicious day one should not pluck Tulsi leaves as it is prohibited to do so as it may result in sin. One should not speak ill of anyone on the day of Ekadashi. Due to this, Goddess Lakshmi may get angry and may have to face financial problems.
