Center of faith of crores of Hindus is reaching pilgrims at Kedarnath. In just 47 days of the yatra, the number of visitors has crossed 11 lakhs. Talking about previous years, in the year 2023 this figure crossed in 70 days, while in 2024 117 days. This year where the record of the entire season of the last two years is expected to be broken. The increase in the number of passengers is promoting tourism and pilgrimage, while the faces of tourism traders are blooming.
On the first day, 30 thousand devotees darshan, on May 2, after opening the doors of Kedarnath Dham for the common devotees, more than 30 thousand pilgrims appeared on the first day. The journey was definitely affected due to horse-mule disease for the first ten days and the ongoing struggle between India and Pakistan. After this, the number of passengers started increasing due to the rapid journey. Passengers are arriving from foot, horse-mule, dandi candy, air service. Every day around 23 thousand pilgrims are earning virtue by seeing Baba Kedar. In view of the increase in the number of pilgrims, the Badri-Kedar temple committee and administration have also extended the time of daily darshan in Kedarnath, so that more and more people can return after visiting. This time Baba Kedar is being seen by the token system.
The figure was completed in 2023 in 70 days and 117 days in 2024. In the year 2023, most of the 1957850 pilgrims have seen Bhole Baba in the entire season. This year, in 70 days, the number of passengers crossed 11 lakhs. Whereas last year, in 2024, only 1652076 pilgrims visited Bhole Baba throughout the season. Then 11 lakh passengers arrived in 117 days. However, due to the disaster on 31 July last year, Kedarnath walking route was swept away at 29 places. Due to which the journey had to be postponed.
After this, the operation of the yatra was started from August 15 to 20, but a small number of passengers were being sent to Kedarnath. Due to which the number of passengers was low throughout the season. This year, the number of pilgrims has crossed 11 lakhs in just 47 days of the yatra. Among the Chardhams, Kedarnath Dham is also running at the top of the pilgrims. It is expected that all records of previous years will be broken by the crowd of devotees in Kedanath this year. This time Kedarnath Yatra is moving towards writing new history. Passengers from all over the country and abroad are reaching Kedarnath to see the nature of the new Kedarpuri along with a large number of Baba darshan. Due to increasing travel pace, tourism businessmen as well as helicopter service, horse-mule, dandi-kandi, palanquin operators are expected to get good business. ===
